We would like to alert you to a scam email campaign that is currently targeting participants of our upcoming conference in Dresden (September 8–12, 2025).

Several participants — including members of the organizing committee — have received messages from email addresses such as operations@gtravelservice.com and other similar domains, offering to arrange hotel bookings. These emails may look professional and mention flexible cancellation policies, but they are not affiliated with the conference in any way.

Please be aware:

• Our conference organizers and partners will only contact you using official email addresses.
• We are not working with any third-party travel agencies such as “G Travel Service” or similar.
• The scammers likely collected names and contact details from publicly available sources.

What should you do?

• Do not respond to such emails.
• Do not share any personal or financial information.
• If you've already interacted with them, we strongly recommend contacting your bank and monitoring your accounts for suspicious activity.

If you have any doubts or have received a suspicious message, feel free to forward it to us, and we’ll be happy to verify it for you.

We take this issue seriously and are doing our best to ensure all participants are informed and protected.

The organizers

Please, make your hotel booking at your own choice. The hotels nearest to the congress venue are the Maritim Hotel Dresden, the Leonardo Hotel Dresden Altstadt and the B & B Hotel Dresden.

Furthermore, we recommend all hotels along the tram line 10 (direct connection to the congress venue, travel time about 15 min) e.g., the InterCity Hotel Dresden, the Meininger Hotel Dresden, the Hotel Occidental Dresden Newa or the ibis Hotel Dresden-Zentrum.

Please note that the City of Dresden charges an additional accommodation tax of 6 % of the accommodation price.
